Detail working drawings are due to commence for a throughly modern new house in St John's Road. The site is delightful, running down to the river and adjoining Clevedon Bridge. Planning approval was originally obtained by CO3 Architects in 2006. Beech Tyldesley were selected with contractors Ken Biggs to develop the design and construct the new building.

Geo. Masters & Sons, Ilchester have just completed the Garden Room for this fascinating mediaeval farmhouse. The design is complementarty to the modest scale of the existing building and yet provides ample space and a wonderful daylight while still meeting the high thermal insulation requirements of the building regulations.

  

  

BLUE SCHOOL WELLS

The newly completed science laboratory wing, officially opened by Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, has been entered for the RIBA Town & Country Design Awards. This modern environmentally conscious building utilizing photovoltaic cells as sun screens as well electricity generators is the new face of the Blue School. We wish it well. Read more...

  

LOCKING CASTLE CHURCH

Phase three of the new Church and Community Hall in the new housing development outside Weston-super-Mare has been completed. This is the last stage in the building programme and after more than twelve years of hard work from the first thoughts of the budding community the building is now open for buisiness, as it were! Tenders have been invited for the much needed roof re-covering of this fine late Victorian building. The oportunity will be taken to introduce thermal insulation and while scaffolding is available the windows will receive necessary repairs and redecoration. Read more...

  

CHARLTON ADAM CHURCH

The tower retains a rare and remarkably complete bellframe of two tiers with five bells dating back to the late 1400's. Sadly the bells fell into disuse and have not been rung since the 1920's. With considerable effort from a great many sources, and with the support of English Heritage, the Council for the Care of Churches, the SPAB and the local DAC the frame is to be restored and the bells re-fitted for full circle ringing.
